This holiday was a celebration of our 25 years of marriage & we wish to thank Sue & Ray of Cocos Seaview for their kindness & help during our stay. The tour they gave us around the island on our arrival & the evening relaxing with a wine down at Scouts Park with the aircrew, are but two of the highlights. Thanks to Joanie for the ride. Our accomodation was first rate and it was great relaxing on the verandah wathing the ocean through the frangipani tree, while soaking in it's scent. Another highlight was the glass bottom boat tour with Geof in the Lagoon. Christmas Island was also a wise choice to visit as the island's are so different. Different accomodation to be sure but still very nice. So much to see there & bird life & lovely walks adding to it's beauty.
Very glad we did both islands & hope to go to both again some time.

We were greeted by Allison upon arrival and taken to The Sunset. She offered to take us on a tour of the island during the afternoon which was a perfect way to start our holiday. Hama dropped by to leave his card and fix our first meeting at Wet ‘n’ Dry. The diving was spectacular and we can only recommend to our friends and family to dive with Hama and Lynny. It was a pleasure to spend our mornings in their company and saw many interesting specimens underwater. Have returned home with some unforgettable memories of our time spent on the island. The detention center had been on the news in Europe just before our trip but we never felt this would be an issue or would spoil our time on the island. We also enjoyed a jungle tour with Allison on our last day and learnt some interesting facts about the wildlife on land. The people of Christmas Island are welcoming and friendly only adding to the magic of such a beautiful place. The Sunset was perfectly located and we really felt at home.
Many thanks again for your help in organising our trip!

We would like to thank you so very much for all help with our holiday on Cocos Keeling Island! We have had our best holiday ever, the Island was magic, the water warm vith beautiful fishes.... Coming fråm Sweden, Scandinavia, with a temperatur around the freezingpoint when we left, and 10 below zero and snow on our arrival home, Cocos Island was like paradise! (We had to dig out our car from snow at the airport before driving home!).
Once again: thanks a lot. We would love to come back some day! |

Comment: We really enjoyed and loved Christmas Island. Everyone was so friendly from our Agent to the Airline Crew and the Christmas Island team. We have travelled extensively and this is a truly remote, natural and unspoilt tropical haven. We want to keep it a secret but know it would be unfair as it is definitely a place one should visit in this lifetime! It's a refreshing change to the usual holiday haunts that are ruined by our modern, industrialised and commercial world! Our 2009 Christmas will be a very memorable one - as our photo shows! (us on the tropical golf course with the locals... crabs!) |

Comment: We had a wonderful time at Christmas Island. Our booking process was efficient and our accommodation at the Sunset Superior Room was excellent, a large spotless room with breathtaking views. Our tours with Island Explorer were superb, with a delightful and enthusiastic guide. We saw the crab migration which is a once in a lifetime experience. Wow, what a wonderful trip! Highly recommended. Thank you to everyone! |

Comment: A fantastic venue for a relaxing sea, sand and sun based holiday, away from the mass tourism of resorts. On many occasions we had the beach entirely to ourselves. Fantastic snorkelling and excellent accommodation made this a holiday of a lifetime. |

Comment: Great! What a holiday! We had planned to go back to Thailand and are so glad we didn't. It was so laid back, no hustle and bustle of fighting the traffic or people. We had the beaches to ourselves and snorkelled everyday! We stayed at the Cocos Village Bungalows with John and Bronnie and they took us to see the sun set at The Spot. We went to Direction Island twice , took a tour over to Home Island where the school children showed us around then we fed the sharks off the Glass Bottom Boat- Awesome! A must see would be the Clam Farm! |

Comment: We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary by doing something out of the ordinary and headed to the Islands. ''Theres nothing there'' said all our friends... we said ''perfect.. that's why we are going!'' We mixed it up and spent 3 days on Christmas and 4 on Cocos. Terrific flight with NJS and we landed in Christmas to a warm welcome by Angela, as arranged we picked up our trusty rusty 4WD - ''leave the keys in the ignition and fill the tank before you drop it back'' - Very trusting and after a day or two you understand why. Our accommodation at the VQ3 - WOW! We could watch the sunset and had a spa bath to boot! Waterfall walks through the rainforrest, millions of red crabs, blowholes and even with the rain, we had a ball! Cocos - another warm welcome from our hosts Sue and Ray from the Seaview. Great room, all you need, modern, short walk to the ocean which you could hear all day and night - very soothing. A car proved necessary although you can't go that far - it is a long walk from one end of the island to the other. We relaxed with lovely breakfasts at the Rainbow Cafe and were treated to a weather phenomonon, an awesome willy willy which was sucking water up into the heavens - Unbelievable. Highlight for me was a game of scroungers with the Cocos Gold Club, across the Airport Runway! Kind Regards to all, and thanks to Island Explorer! |

Comment: Thankyou for a truly wonderful holiday at your magnificant and amazing island. A big thankyou to our tour guide from Island Explorer who is an expert on the beauties and natural wonders of your island. Without the tours we would not have been fully informed or educated about the happenings of Chritsmas Island and also a big thankyou from John to Shane Adams and father-in-law Bill for the best fishing trip ever. Magnificant fish caught and expert guidance by these two men. We thoroughly recommend Island Explorer Holidays and Hollywood Fishing Charters. Experiencing the people and their culture of the island was a very enjoyable experience, one that we would like to be able to repeat. Thank you. |

Comment: I have just got back from my fishing holiday on Christmas Island, everybody on the island is friendly and helpfull. I stayed at the VQ3 Lodge, the room was very nice and I was allowed a very late checkout. I went fishing with Hollywood Charters, Shane and Jody could not do enough for me, plus the fishing was GREAT. I have been fishing all over the world but Christmas Island is the best, everybody can not do enough for you. Thankyou for a great holiday, I will be back next year! |

Comment: From the moment we started to book the holiday, we knew something exciting was just beginning. What a fantasic place to explore and discover. We wandered beautiful beaches, played golf with the locals, swam with turtles, fished and just enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The history of the Island is amazing and our hosts at the Bungalows made us feel like family. We will be back! |

Comment: We Loved Cocos! The Cocos Seaview was lovely and Sue the host was very kind and helpful. The room was spotless and a real credit to her. We will go back. The people on Cocos and Christmas Island were extremely friendly. Your Island Explorer Holidays team were also very helpful, friendly and efficient. We were also so lucky to be on Christmas Island for the 50th Anniversary celebrations which were a lot of fun. Almost didn't want to write a comment, because if I rave about the place they'll get a torrent of tourists! LOL! Actually, this place turned out to be more than just the perfect tropical getaway...I met the love of my life here, and we're coming back in 2012 to GET MARRIED!! For this reason, and many others including the gorgeous turquoise waters, white beaches, friendly folk and NO hawkers trying to flog sarongs & other cheap garbage to you, Cocos will always have a special place in my heart and I can't wait to get back there!
